Do It Online

IMPORTANT- Change of Online Services February 2019

Please note that due to our impending change of computer system from Microtest Evolution  to TPP SystmOne the following will apply with regards to prescription ordering, as we will be changing  our online services from The Waiting Room to SystmOnline/NHS App from early February 2020.

Monday 12th January- No more new Waiting Room (Microtest Evolution online service) registrations will be accepted. For those with smartphones, we would strongly advise you to download the NHS App as soon as possible and set up an NHS account in preparation (this can be done without having to visit the surgery). The NHS App uses advanced techniques to verify identity built-in which may not require you to visit the surgery to activate, and more details are available via the above link.

Tuesday 21st January (end of working day) No more Waiting Room orders will be accepted and the site will be made inactive. Urgent prescription orders can be emailed to up until activation of your online account in our new system. Electronic Prescriptions orders will also be no longer accepted and paper prescriptions only will be generated, either to collect at the surgery or delivered to your usual pharmacy. If your pharmacy doesn't have a courier service that visits our surgery, you may need to use an alternative pharmacy that does temporarily or arrange personal collection of the prescription from the surgery.

Thursday 6th February St. Neots Surgery will be live with its new IT system. Any outstanding electronic prescriptions still pending will have been automatically cancelled from our previous clinical system and pharmacies may need to re-order some blister pack medication if applicable closely supported by our prescription clerks.

All patients that have already successfully registered with the Waiting Room and have previously provided us with acceptable ID verification will be eligible to collect new account details for SystmOnline on request. Electronic Prescriptions will now be able to be generated again for all medications including controlled drugs. It is worth mentioning however that there are potentially over 2000 users of The Waiting Room that need to be manually migrated. This is impossible to do overnight and if you are able to register yourself via the NHS App this will save considerable time and effort for surgery staff to have to do it manually and potentially result in quicker access for yourselves.

If you prefer not to use the NHS App and wish to transfer your registered Waiting Room account to SystmOnline as soon as practicably possible please download and fill in this form and return or email it to the surgery

Wednesday 12th February- Barring any last minute delays, the NHS App should be fully functional for our practice and patients that have already managed to create an NHS account should be able to access our online services to book appointments, order prescriptions and view their medical record without having to create a SystmOnline account. You will however need a SystmOnline account if you are aged 13-15 or using online services on behalf of a patient (e.g. child proxy account).
